STUDENT SUCCESS STORIES

The ICP caught up with two alumni students, Estelle Fereirra and Sonja Janse van Rensburg, to follow up on the opportunities their studies at the ICP have provided.

 

 

 

Estelle Fereirra

Estelle Fereirra obtained her BPsych degree from the ICP in 2007. She went on to do her PhD in Christian Counselling at Trinity University with a focus on trauma and the study of human behaviour. Currently she is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa as a Psychological counsellor and is practicing privately. She is also currently busy with her Masters degree in psychological research at North West University. She has a radio program “Gesinstyd” (Family Time) which broadcasts on Radio Platorand in the Lowveld. Estelle also does training regarding various issues namely parental guidance, trauma and attachment therapy.

Sonja Janse van Rensburg

Sonja completed her BPsych degree at the ICP in 2008. She is currently completing her Masters degree in play therapy (Master Diaconiologiae – Mdiac) through Huguenot College (through Unisa). In her postgraduate studies her research focused on trauma and she also currently specialises in trauma. Sonja is working as a play therapist and gets many references from various schools, churches and the CMR.
